alright i bought this car a while back and drove the hell out of it. now i realize its kind of rare and i like the looks. the a20a3 had some power but it needs rebuilt now and i just wanna do a swap with a b20a. i need to know if the stock prelude mounts will work in my accord or if i have to have custom mounts made. and i dont know where the mounts on the b20a even are so that doesnt help me either. got any pics of the stock prelude 90 si mounts? or just any good advice? its a black top b20a so i think it came from a jdm accord. but i pulled it out of a prelude si myself. this is gonna take me time but it will be worth it. i just wanna get the b20a in for that extra power while i build a different motor. something b series tho. or does anyone have any ideas of a better motor to swap in it?? any and all advice will help

I'll go easy on you before someone else jumps in, or you just get ignored... but you are a new.

First piece of advice.... SEARCH! There are FAQ's, and many other threads with loads of information regarding these swaps.

Second... If you still have questions after you have read all of the information available on the site... Then post away, but don't ask questions that have already been asked five million times.

Third... Come back after reading all that stuff and realize how useless this thread you just created was.

Oh and welcome to 3geez!

if it's in a usdm lude it's not the right b20, the lude one leans the wrong direction

it came from a lude but its not usdm motor. its b20a. anything usdm has number for example a20a3 is usdm. a20a is jdm

i pulled it out of a 90 lude si. but he said it was aleady a swap. he went to dirt track racing and went with a 1.6. said the 2.0 was too heavy. and its goin in an 87 accord lxi hatch

you can't swap the lude b20 into an accord, they lean in opposite directions, everything is different, it has to be the jdm accord b20, as far as the a20 being too heavy, he's an idiot, we have a lot of people here who have done well in dirt track racing with the a20

Listen to what everyone has been telling you and I'll tell you too, a B20A from a 3rd gen (88-91) prelude will not FIT your accord but if by some miracle that is the JDM B20A write down the serial # and we'll tell you if it is.

ive seen posts of it being done. so it can be done just how. and the serial number are right below where it says b20a right?

its a b20a that was in his car. he switched to a d series i believe. and not here they dont. the 1.6 crx motors walk over the heavy cars here

if you have pictures of the lude B20 in one of these cars please post away, I'm sure a lot of people would love to see it. The accord B20 leans forward 15 degrees, the lude one leans backward. It's not a good idea to argue with people on a site where these swaps are well documented as far as what can and can't be done, plenty of people here have spent a bunch of time and money researching these swaps, and doing the swaps, listen to the people who know what they are talking about, there are excellent threads on this swap free for the reading,

you'll have to wait until someone chimes in on the serial number, the ludes were also black tops I believe, post some pictures of the engine and someone can tell you for sure

its too much work to just post a simple pic. that needs to be revised. why cant i just get it from my comp like every other site?

it takes just a few minutes to get a free photobucket account, then you simply upload the picture and copy and paste the img code

Accord 3g and Prelude 2g B20a have the Honda logo in the center of the valve cover.
So I think this is a 3g lude B20.

(If this is anybodies car here and you don't want me posting it, just tell me.)

From the pictures you can tell that the prelude engine leans back and the accord one doesn't which means IT WILL NOT FIT but if you want to waste your money and try to make it fit you're more than welcome to.
