I’ve tried cheap store brand glass cleaner and paper towels and was not please with the results. Streaks that I just could not get rid of. Bought some Stoner Invisible Glass. Results were better but still could see faint streaks in direct sun. On the Stoner Invisible Glass directions I noticed, “Some pros prefer to use crumpled newspaper.” Never heard of that before. Tried it as the final step and no more streaks! Glass is absolutely clear.

Great tip! We always used coffee filters when I worked in restaurants. They seemed to work really well too. Somewhat more expensive than newspaper, of course.

Always have used newspapers for years. Learned it from my mom who cleaned homes and high end hotels for a living.

i use steel wool. takes all the hard to get grime right off and no streaks. jus blow the dust off when done. cleanest ive ever seen them get. just DONT do it on the tinted side of the window.

Coffee filters and newspaper are old, but effective tricks. Like Snooz said, newspaper is MUCH cheaper.

Most glass cleaners are a mixture of water and one of two things, vinegar or ammonia. Either are pretty good cleaning solutions but don't mix them together. Vinegar is an acid and ammonia is a base, so they will neutralize into a salt solution (not table salt) that won't work for cleaning.

The newspaper trick has been around forever, and works pretty well.
