i know that the engine is completely different from the current b series motors......but would my ls tranny bolt up there?
and how much work would be involved in this swap?
the guys over on g2ic.com never heard of the b20a out of the accord
thanks for the info!

Nope

Same as a H22A in a 88 Accord.

sorry, but that is about the dumbest thing i have ever heard.

it comes with a B18. drop a VTEC head on it and call it a day

night.........where should i start? well its not that easy as just slapping a vtec head....
The parts u need and the amount of work is crazy u might as well swap in a whole engine!

vtec head, ecu, tapin this hole for this and that.......and alot more parts!
I actually started to price everything and it came out to
1300 us
plus from everyone i've spoken to if the setup isn't done right
the damn thing won't run right!

Thats probably going to be cheaper and easier then swaping an accord b20. If an accord needs custom mounts to fit a standard b series motor, then the opposite is also going to be true for an accord b series into a car that mounts a standard one. Its a gen2 teg, swap in a b18c, or maybe a b20 from a crv or something.

you're complaining about that little bit of work but then talking about the completely illogical idea of putting a B20A in it

and parts list :
1gen B16 head- 250-300
manifold- 50-100
VAFC - 200ish
RPM switch- like 20-30
line kit if ur a lazy ass- ~70

if you have $2000, why not find B16A. it will drop without any extra mounts. than in the future you can add Vortech supercharger.

The b18a is perfect for a forced induction setup because of its low compression and lack of vtec. I was actually thinking fo going to the junkyard to pull a b18a for myself, but decided that the PR mounts are a ripoff.
You're best bet for this motor is some sort of mild turbo kit with low boost. Then if later on you want more power then build the motor with forged pistons, etc .
But if you want to stay naturally aspirated, then the ls/vtec swap isn't too bad. A little machine work never hurt anybody.
