So gentlemen.. something is very not right with my car and i am sick of fuckin around so here it begins. I am going to drop in my b20a goldtop. I have so many questions i don't quite know where to start and i am actualy a little overwhelmed but i guess i should start with the basics. My problem is the parts and components i have are not yet quite complete to do the swap. The good news tho is that I have most of all the major components. See thread http://www.preludepower.com/forums/s...=334467&page=2

The first thing i would like to do is know if i can get away with doing this swap from using parts exclusive to USDM. I can not efford to be shelling out the money to have parts imported from NZ and Europe. I have done the math and its just to bloody expensive! So this being said, here are a few relevant questions.

Are there no other axles that i can use from any other make and model? I do have the two ends of the axles, that were chopped during the removal. A part of an axle that goes into the half shaft and also a part of an axle that goes into the tranny. Like is there maybe even a way to fab the parts of the axles i have with some other axles.. What can i do here guys?

Secondly, i have been told that the ecu from a 3g dohc model can be used instead of the jdm one.. If this is the case, would it be straight plug and play.. also am i still going to be getting the full 160bph that i would with a jdm b20a ecu?

Timing belt and water pump.. which timing belt can i use for this job. Also is the 3g water pump compatable.. This is really important because it is not like i can screw this job up. I do not want to put in a bunch of money and work in only to start my car up to a bunch of bent valves.

These are my main concerns so far and i can not, and will not attempt to start anything until i have very clear conformation.

Any advice is much appreciated.

You should check out the stickies in the b18a/b20a swap. Link: http://www.3geez.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=83

I'm not really sure but I think you have to change some wires around and I don't think you will get the full 160hp out of the prelude ecu. Search cause I'm not sure

From what i understand; hypothetically i could use two b20a5 passenger axles with the axle ends that i have to make axles for my swap.. Can anyone conform this?

You can see the hacked axles in the pic.. One going into the transalxe and one into the half shaft..
