Does anybody know the wrench sizes for the 2 tubes (egr and ?) to remove them? Also does anybody have any tips or tricks on getting them removed?

You probably won't get them removed. Mine is fused into the manifold permanently. Your best bet is to remove it from the intake side. I have FI, so it's only one tube for me.

That's what I was thinking might happen lol. What is the 2nd pipe on the carbed models? I thought I read somewhere you can run without the egr? Can you run without the other one? I know it won't pass emissions but it doesn't need to be retested till June 2013 if I even still have it then....

I know the Air Suction valve tube is 32mm

Is that the smaller of the 2 tubes? I need to free the tubes for a head gasket job :(

Ok from what I'm gathering it is pretty much a given that the car would run just fine with the egr removed and capped. What could happen if the air intake tube is also blocked off and capped?

What are your smog checks like there?

The car doesn't have to be smog checked till 2013 and in 2014 it will never need one again. I'm not concerned with that at this point and plan on going to a weber carb at some point. And the next county over from me is smog exempt period if that was to become an issue...
