Also i didn't mention in the vid that it was idling fine, then i took the gauges out to paint the needles. And had also disconnected my ecu to redo my carpet. My theory is that the paint is making the needle heavy or that i fucked it up when i was painting them. What you'll think? Also on freeway i do 80mph at 3k rpm which i find strange.

how many coats did you put? when it idles like that does the car shake?

Well first i put primer then i used a paint that didn't match my other gauges then i found one that matched better. So imma say 3 heavy coats. Nope it don't shake

hmm it could be the coats of paint as i only put one heavy coat when i painted mine when i had the 4dr. or (just saying) it could the Tach giving out. Also is the speedometer needle off or giving out the accurate speed?

the speedo meter is correct. i've tested it when i was driving back up to school and there is this thing that tells you your speed.

Needles tend to go haywire when you pull them out and handle them. It might have rotated on the spindle and so is now reading wrong. If repositioning the needle doesn't work, pop it off and put it on a new tach.

Also the speedometer pin to hold the needle is a tad bigger than the rpm needle....

Take a Picture of ur gauges when the car is off.

yea guey you put to much paint on. I just did one heavy coat. not much needed.

Hmm, that's about what my DX 5spd does in 5th gear; great for getting 35+mpg at 75 mph.

What was ur previous rpm at 80 mph?
