how long does it take rough estimate to complete b swap? as much as i love the a20 it just slacks sadly so i rather just have a b engine with header and intake. questions though would it still pass smog thats the most important thing. and how much would the hole project cost?

just about if not more you'll need axles, shift linkage, engine, trans, ecu and mounts. look into those things and average it to the nearest thousand or hundred.

hmm well that i wouldn't know since this engine shouldn't be in this car. can't help you on that part you have to ask Legend master or Messyhonda. Unless you know someone that will pass it for you then why not.

I would say 5 is a little bit high but not bad. It should pass smog since its a newer engine. I would suggest you contact the DMV for more info.

would probably take around 3-5 hours to do if you know what you're doing and have everything you need

I did the physical swap in about that time, but actually having it running is another story.

I would say as long as you have EVERYTHING completely ready, then you could have the whole swap up and running in this time.

As far as cost goes, I would say that really depends on if you pay somebody to do the swap for you or not. Then you must calculate what engine you plan to put in there. Since a b20b is $500-$750, and a B18C5 is $2500-$3500 that will make a huge difference on you cost. Then your transmission must be chosen, and all the bolt on you want or need. Roughly $1500 to $2500 for a lower end b-swap with bolt ons and you doing all the work yourself.
