I'm having a problem with my spark plug staying in place after a tune up. I tried an adaptor and it worked for almost a day and then the spark plug popped out of the adaptor. adaptor stayed in place. i was only able to get a cheaper, different spark plug from the ones I had put in for the tune up. I got the same type spark plug today and when I tried to take it out, the adaptor came out too and now it won't go back in. what can i do?

You can try a sparkplug thread chaser to clean up the original threads. However, if the threads are really chewed up bad you can try a heli-coil.

the hole in the cylinder head is screwed. Like Mark said, you need to helicoil it and I hope it isn't cyl #1 :(
