as long as it doesnt block your view ie not right in your race, then you shouldn't have any problems.

This is one of those situations that really depend on the person teching the car. Normally, if it's out of view, it doesn't matter.

I'd personally take the LXi out there anyway just to see how it does. Then again, I'd autocross my Jeep if they'd let me.

I wonder if it counts as a gate if you can just drive over the slalom cones without knocking them over...

I have a Cherokee, but same deal. The thing feels tippy on the street, so imagine how it would feel (and probably roll) on an autocross course.

Last year at the GRM $2010 Challenge, we were discussing building the smallest, narrowest car possible so it wouldn't have to move left and right as much as a wider car through a slalom. This year, someone showed up with an N600.

I have a jeep liberty. its kinda wabbly just drivin regulary. some of that two wheel drivin if it were a race. I thought the 3g was an old school car, but the N600 is a true old school. I bet its kinda fun to drive though... Ya know where noone can see you doin it lol

The RWD D-series Turbo N600? That thing was badass. Shame about the way it would almost roll over.

Yeah, Bryce's N600 was really cool. It was so tippy from the suspension setup, though. Too much was being crammed into the back of that car.

That green car is what we brought.

I take it tires don't count towards the $2012.

Tires do count, but these were found on eBay for about $300 shipped. They're very well used and they're getting pretty hard. They're also a bit too wide for the car. You kinda take what you can get a good deal on and run with it.

Race tires don't hold much value when they're worn down to only having a few runs/laps left. What a lot of teams do is buy a new set of tires at the beginning of the season, and by the end of the season, they're worn down a ton and have dropped in value by 50% at least. Since the Challenge is in October, this works out pretty well.
