The clutch that has the same spline count is the 88 zc. However is says the the clutch can only be used with 92-00 civic fly wheel. I think is it do to the surface space off the flywheel. However the bolt pattern isnt the same on a d series as ares. But the series is. That's as far as I got

Here this will help you. It also explains it better. I havent been able to test this to see if it will work. But once again this gets us better clutchs but nit really sure about flywheels or pressure plates.

Finding the pressure plate is gonna be the problem. I would start there. Spec list a stage 5 but oya listed at 304 ftq. I would think the the Plate is the reason its not holding more

I know what you mean I just want to play. I have all the big things worked out for a baby set up. I'm also building a head (+2 all the way round and delta 272) and 84mm LS rod's forged block with a Balanced and knife edged Crank. At that time I'll replace the manifold, turbo, and injectors for t3/t4 ball bearing, custom manifold, 1000cc or 1200cc injector. There will also be water/meth at this time as well.

I have the same issue with the clutchnet. I was at 330tq last I was on the dyno (not sync, freaking autocorrect) and it didn't hold.

Thats sucks. I've call almost every where to see if we can get something that would hold 500+tq but i haven't had much luck. The best I've see is the spec ones and they still offer them as of the first of the year.

Welp, trans is in and works! I will say after a few days of struggling by the shop they found out when you put the b16 lsd in you have to either grind down(or use one out of a dseries trans) the cring clip behind the driver axel seal to get it to shift into 1-2.
Tried to do a burnout but had my 2step set somehow at the perfect rpm and just hooked haha. But ill get a burnout video tomorrow when i go to get tires put on ;)

Great for boost like ive said before. I would also look in to getting a set of axles because your gonna snap one finding the sweet spot with 2 step. Rev really high is the key and don't worry about getting better tires(slicks) unless you're ready to break shit. Keep up the good work man i love this build

Meh, u dont need axels unless you arnt preloading from a launch or you make maddd tq. I had my 35002step and dumped the clutch and just a small squeal as it went straight like a slow rocket. I think the traction bar helps the launch.

Pop it back in place making 100% sure it's seated. If it pops out again then you probably need to replace the little keeper rings on the axle.

I popped it back in friday, but when i tightened the axel nut it pulled all the slack out the axle so it pretty much was preloaded to pop out. Went about a mile chwcked it and it popped out a half inch again. So either this axel is somehow too short, or my hub isnt pressed in all the way

it shouldnt be different. My hub bearing, lower ball joint and axle were all replaced at once. this wasnt a problem before. Im going to pull the axle tomorrow and check to see if the old and new one are the same size. if so then i might have to pull the hub again and make sure its pressed all the way in. If that doesnt work, then immma just say fuck it and order a custom axle a inch or 2 longer. lol

i have vids, but im troubleshooting this stupid ass no start problem im having. Car fires for just a split second(like 500-800rpm max) then doesnt do anything. its flooding out the plugs too. Idk wut the fuck is going on. im ready to just just take a sledge hammer to the car and hope it works -_-

Check that cam timing. Also on the neptune you can clear a flooded situation by holding the throttle to the floor while cranking the motor.

With the help of a few of my friends, and a fellow 3geer i *think* i have my cold start problem. But in the process i managed to break 2 of my new sparkplug wires, & foujd my axle leaking more fluid. So im not sure what way to approach it but i will figure it out soon.

Wellllllll im still having axle problems. Its just the passenger side too. Idk why but i had to pull the car in the garage yesterday and run off to work. Turn out the oil pan i stuck under the car was off so now my garage is nice and covered in trans fluid -_- hopefully i can get this bs fixed soon. I just want to drive my baby!

So I looked in to that with Ethan last night. There is a very small possibility that you got one that was ment for a gsr/type R. The spline counts are just a hair different. 35 vs 40 that would let you to put the alxe in but it would also explain why it pop's out. So you have two options. One would be to swap lsd's and Two would to swap axles for a gsr/type R

Strange. Ill just count the splines tomorrow when i pull the axle. I know in their first generation of diffs they had some problems with the shape/groove for the c-ring causing the axle to either get suck or poop out easy. But im still confused on whythere is no free play in the axle when its all installed.

is the inner cv moving in and out of the diff?
It shouldn't do that , if it is there is something wrong .
the outer axle shouldnt move unless the wheel is moving up and down or you are turning the wheel.

Welp i *think* i got it. I got a axle from luke and put it in, not longer but doesn't pop out. Drove it around atl today and still have my fluid. I also got a set if rotors redrilled and slapped them on with the new pads. She stops real good now.

^^^these parts on the left were somehow behind the flywheel. Nothing looks messed up besides the throwout bearting so hopefully it will be fine.

yea thats why i pulled the trans off. lol Car wouldnt get out of gear when i went to leave for work one morning, just stayed in reverser in my driveway so i had to punch it out of gear. turned it off said fuck it, and pushed it into the garage. at the time i thought it was the clutch cable.

Its a custom made clutch from that shop. I just caleed and told him my plans with the car and he said he could make it no problem. I have jet to install it but hopefully it wull work great. Im tired of pulling the trans

I am also interested in this custom clutch, make sure you remember what you told the guy so you have a record of what the clutch is, what it's rated for, etc.

the install was alright. i had to drill out the bushings a bit to fit the bolts through. and i also got new bolts to replace the factory to setting. Got rid of that adjustment there. I could have kept it but meh, why when i have all this other adjustment??

im temped to get some other goodies tho. still trying to get this trans fixed tho.

All new balljoints, inner+outter tie rods, new upper+lower balljoint, & freshly pressed in hub bearing. Should be sweet after the aglinment.



Then i decided to go buy some exhaust wrap and wrap the exhaust under the oilpan.

all at once. i do it big mannnn lol but the lugs are muteki sr48's. my friend who owns a shop recommended then so i puled the trigger. the alum lugs from sickspeed have past their days.

edit. the lugs and locks ran me 85ish on amazon, the fan kit was 135.

i was phoneless for a day but the trans is in tbe car but its still on stands. The pass side hub bearing didn't get replaced but it will before it gets an aglinment.

Welp, good and bad news. Good. Its driving under its own power. The bad, one of the wheel bearings is still somehow loose after being replaced. Gues its and oem defect. & after getting on the the road and found out the transmission wines BAD. LIke straight cut gears bad. Idk why. If i wasn't late to work i would've parked it. Ill be looking at it into in the am. I did a quick Google search and its sounding like either diff is fucked, or imput shaft bearing is shat. If its imput shaft bearing then the ahop that swaped my gearset cut some corners. But ill be looking into it and prob using a diff shop for my transmission.

yea it does suck alot. Im also having a bit of a sputter once i shift and get into WOT. Tuner said hit a datalog and then he will clean up the map for me. I prob will hit a dyno one day just to see exactly where it stands. Im having some cooling issues still. Idk if its the rad is too close to the manifold getting heat soaked, Or of the t-stat/wp needs to be replaced. Ill prob replace them both one day here soon once i get everything else squared away(or while the car is on jack stands lol)



buttt super side not, im ordering parts to do a 5speed swap on my cressida. why? Because fuck you thats why.

Ehhhh so plans kinda changed today. Was getting off the interstate and went to go into 3rd and was locked out. Tried all the others and nothing besides 5th. So i guess i have to pull the transmission sooner than i wanted. I may try my hand at pulling it apart and fixing it. Idk i still dont trust myself but ill think about it. But cressida 5speed is gonna be on hold. I just got to fix my bad cam seal. I just wish i had 2 days in a row off from work -_-

Tim it's not as bad as you would think. Just take your time and lay the parts out in the order of removal. One of the large nuts behind 5th gear cover is reverse thread. Keep that in mind. Take plenty of pics.

If you remember when I was racing those stangs in mexico, the Trans popped out of gear (3rd) under full power and would not engage till I shut the car off. After that it would shift normal under normal conditions. Under power it would not shift into 3rd. I tore it down 2 or 3 times not able to find the problem. It turned out to be the internal shifter assembly was ever so slightly bent.

nah i haven't. Long story short a I got an opportunity in work out in Vegas in till December. It kinda just popped up so I didnt get to pull the trans out yet. But ill be getting it sorted out as soon as i get home. But while im out here ill be ordering parts....(like internals hehe)
