it says it supports wideband, but it requires an ecu to work? i wonder if this could be setup to data log without an ecu? when i get mine running I would like to be able read wideband 02, vs rpm, and some other parameters, such as oil temp, coolant temp, I was going to look for a wideband gauge with data logging output. do you think this would work, or would it be best to setup an independent datalogger and download everything to the laptop? the main thing I'm looking for is mixture at over rpm and how it's affecting water and oil temps etc. including egt. I was going to be working on wiring, so I wanted to wire in the sensors now

That would need a Honda ECU to work. Basically they just put a bluetooth interface on it.

For carbs I would look at something like this:

I used one of these when I was still running a Weber. They aren't super cheap but they work well and you can log all sorts of cool stuff. The built in 2-axis accelerometer lets you calculate HP/torque and do lateral G force testing. Logging is done with any PC that has a serial port. An old laptop would be perfect.

Incidentally, the Megasquirt guys have an Android logger now too.
