quick question?

What might cause my lx-i's temp gauge to act up? It almost always reads hot; the gauge needle sometimes shoots all the way up as soon as I turn the car on. My car doesn't seem to be overheating. Maybe a fuse?

I second that. If your sensor is bad or intermittent, the needle will spike the moment it has power to it.

Last time I disassembled the cluster to change the D4 bulb I broke one of the hair-thin wires on the temp gauge and it caused that exact issue. I had to go to a J/Y and get myself a new temp/gas gauge assembly.
