Other than the paint, the body looks pretty minty. A clutch job isn't too bad for these cars, so I would't ever let that keep me from buying one.

Yeah but photos can be deceiving. The roof has had a bad bog job dont know how it got its last 2 WOF's!
At-least the Elect sunroof works and dont leak hahaha
i wish i coulda got that lol i got spare a20 clutches :(

Looks pretty good in the pics.
It was a backpackers car, nearly 300,000k body is sh*t! :lol:
Motor and gearbox seem really good considering mileage. Parts are becoming harder to find only 1 currently at Pick a part its was a A18a manual.
I saw a ducktail spoiler there a few months ago and didnt snatch it :uh:
Whats a new clutch worth? best place for a cheap one?

you will probably get raped 250 - 300 bucks for a new clutch kit thats with teh mad repco/BNT hookup
i got a new exedy one for around $200 from parts master

There's a new-in-box one in a car here at a local junkyard. I can grab it if you want to save some money. Shipping wouldn't be all too bad.

how does a new clutch kit find its way into a junk yard. just make sure the flywheels are the same (recessed type vs normal)

indeed. it's probably the rarest standard 3g motor in nz lol. see manual b18a/b20as pop up more often than an injected a20
Think ill park it up in garage for a while, maybe strip roof and rebog/repaint? weird that the motor is an A20A injected i thought the A20's were only carbys, shes got some guts for shure.

japan never had efi a20a's only carb which is pretty gay. thats a NZ new EDM model so its got a A20A4 which shits on usdm a20a3 motors :P
Found a work receipt from Honda in 1999 noting rust! gee the car was only 10yrs old and already falling apart :D

nz spec owners not looking after it. my 1st accord was nz new and fuck it was the rustyest car ive ever seen
the longer they have been in the country the more rust they usually have. (more if they are white)
Yeh its weird my white 1986 vigor had no rust neither did my charcoal SI (except horrid oxidation) My other white SI had lots of rust in all doors and some roof, this red one has severe oxy and rust :lol:
time to bring all the mint accords up from christchurch before buildings start falling on them :)

I Wonder if my bog n paint job around windscreen will pass for wof, never go to vtnz they smell rust on cars a mile away.
Every garage seems to have there own set of rules and they all know Honda = Rust.
If it fails car going in rubbish hahahaha id hate to think what its like behind both windscreens.

Narh just one of the handbrake cables has snapped, they are discs. :D
i didn't know those could snap. I used to shake whole cars from hand brake cables all the time lol

There was a 1988 Vigor in there a year ago with majorly mint Black Exclusive Full Leather Interior, i was drooling but didnt have the cash :( what a waste as they charge too much for interior only to scrap it all after a few weeks!
I was pissed that the NZ New models dont do full leather trim.
Actually i think its $115 for all leather seats and trim which aint bad but at the time i would have needed the dashboard and the carpet and hood lining so it was a bit of a mission at the time!.
Is it possible to do straight swap from normal heater unit to Digi climate? I would think not?

yeah no cops pull me over here they all pull up nissans. its FTW. ive got "contacts" that keep an eye on the pick a parts for me. there was a grey exclusive in lower hutt PAP that i robbed carpet and b20a manual gearbox out of a while back. and found $40 cash in the reg eg beside it (Y)(Y)

Sold it back in July, its currently unreg with no wof and havent seen it around...id say the auto finally gave up and its sitting somewhere rusting away. A shame really it was a good car minus the slipping nana box :D
