89 lxi fifth gear set where to buy

I just found an 89 accord with this same fifth gear not there problem, thankfully it seems like a very simple fix from evreything I've read, they are willing to sell it for 1000 down from 1350 because of this issue.

my problem is this, I cannot find ANY gears kits or gears for this. I've called some parts stores and searched google with every type of keyword combo I can think of. I'm checking a local junk yard later, hoping to find something however I'd just as soon buy them new.

It's either a junkyard or the dealer (online is usually cheaper).

You can get the full transmission rebuild kit for around 200 at advanceauto.com or jus go in the store

Those kits are unlikely to have gears--probably just synchronizer rings, bearings and maybe some seals.

I'd be surprised if you are able to get tranny gears from the dealer for a car this old. They might, however, in their kindness offer to sell you a rebuilt trans for only $13k. God bless 'em.

I was able to pick up a 5th gear set from my Honda dealer in 2007

i got a spare set from my extra transmission, hit me up on a PM if you still need it. The synchro is used but it worked when it came out
