lost 4th. Long story short, I took it apart and found out that too much frame damage resulted in excessive stress on the diff bearings which caused friction on the mainshaft which caused the spacer collar, a couple synchro hubs, and the mainshaft to be overheated and damaged.

here she is pronounced dead on the operating table. Kind of bummed as it was my first car, luckily I have other cars.

That's a bummer. Be careful with those Pick N Pull cores. I've had astoundingly rotten luck with pretty much all of them. They always seem to have something fatally wrong with them. If I'm lucky, I figure out what it is before I spend the money to rebuild them and have them explode in the car.

If you end up going in a different direction, www.mantrans.com gave me a pretty sweet rebuilt MT.

Good luck.

I like your "operating table." It has a pie on it. :)
