The Problem:
My 89 Accord....body style from 84 to 89....
D-side headlight pops up and the electric motor keeps running,
closing it and opening it.
It's embarrassing to "wink" my headlight to the deputy sheriffs
as I drive down the road in the dark.... LOL
It's almost like the "park" position on windshield wipers.
Instead of the headlight opening and "parking" in the open position,
the motor doesn't stop. It keeps running. The headlight keeps opening and closing.
Quick solution:
84 to 89 Accords have a dash switch that will open or will close the headlights without them being on. I switch-opened the headlights, then unplugged the under-hood plug at the motor, effectively stopping the headlight from continuing to open or close.
The questions:
Can anyone direct me to a link that will help solve this problem?
Does anyone have a solution? Is it a wiring or motor problem?
I don't want to spend time on the wrong fix and then find it was
the wrong one.
