My 89 Accord has 270,000 miles and the OEM cloth seat upholstery
is wearing thin. I had altered the internal seat frame sometime
back for better side support and tilted the front edge upward
under my knees/thighs. (I am a road racer instead of a straight-liner).

I like reclining seats. I want good side support.
I want side support around the kidney area and vertically
between my belt/waist and underarms. Support for my shoulders
is not what I'm looking for since I move my arms to steer the car.

I looked at some seats at car shows. Bride GT's
have such good side support for my butt that my wallet has
to be removed from my back pocket to sit in them....and I was told that they sell for $1K. ....couple disadvantages there. It looked like they bolted
to the floor itself.....For body strength I don't want to remove the side to side brace under the front of my stock seats.

I looked at others. Can anyone here point the way......show me a pic of
what they have that works well, tell me where they got them and what they think is a good price? Thanks in advance.-Bob

You know, second-generation Prelude seats are pretty nice and can be installed pretty easily, but the only problem is the colors don't usually match.

Any thoughts about an upholstery shop? They may be able to customize your factory seats plus you can have a wider array of material choices. I have had car seats reupholstered in the past and it is A LOT cheaper than new seats and looks much better than covers.
