Just when you thought i had lost interest i get another one!
This car i found through a friend on the side of the road for $500, A20A carb auto, my gf's parents bought it cause they needed a car and it was so tidy for the price. anyways a year later it overheated and blew the head gasket after they just put 4 band new tyres on and a new battery. So they sold it to me for $500 (The price of the new tyres)

That same weekend i ripped in and pulled the A20A and installed a B18A block with a B20A head and the A20A carb bolted onto it. I didnt get that many pics but ill take some more tomrrow if i get around to washing the car. its quite tidy.

This weekend im putting a A18A carb on with a full de-vac job done. today i installed the carb and removed the vacuum bullshit. it runs okay but the idle is shit. carb people tell me why i cant get it to idle smoothe?? its done this on both carbs A20A and the A18A one. more pics later.....

duz look a tidy beast eh!
problem with the idle is prob that its mixtures are up the shoot.
even tho its the same capacity, the b20a head will flow completelt differantly at low speed.
if it got an idle mixture screw, have a play with it, screw it right in then out 3 turns.
warm it up properly and then give it a wee rev.
if the idle comes back to normal straight off, its good.if it hangs up then drops to normal, its lean
if it drops below normal and then recovers, its rich

indeed. i would've blamed going from a automatic, boat anchor motor to a manual alloy block would cause it, but you've only changed from a iron block to alloy pretty much, so it shouldn't make the front go that much higher lol.

are tyhose wheels 13" or 14"?
