So I bought an 89 lxi 2 months ago and removed the stock airbox and replaced with a new shortram intake as a temp till I build a cold air.

Question is, when I give it a certain amount of gas I hear an annoying whistling noise coming from the filter. Its always does it night or day. Anybody have past experiences and solutions?

is it under very light acceleration? if so, that's normal

Yeah I have a K+N filter cone on the throttle body its does it. Rotating it around and find the "quite" spot is best you can do.

Oh CzEcHy I didn't notice you were not talking about your weberized car!
My bad...
It was a very loud whistle though until I opened up the throttle.

Like Blue said on the fresh air intake you probably just need to move it around some.

I threw a spectre intake on my 86 prelude, im fairly sure its normal happens to me to, sounds beast on full throttle but yeah just depends how much you press on the peddle

Mine does it too, but I don't mind. I've had people ask if it's super-charged lol

Adjusted the screw on the throttle body, fixed the whistle completly.
