View Full Version : Positive Wire?
So after buying my Honda, being told it was an 88, finding out its an 86, returning all the parts we'd already bought, and replacing the master cylinder, front driver axle, alternator, water pump, and a complete tune-up...we are now having a problem with one of the interior products...the radio...we can't find the positive wire to hook it up and we're lost on what to do. I've been told to run a wire from the battery through the dash and to the radio...I'm new to the thread also so just some advice on everything. I'm used to working on a '92 blazer with a 4.3v6 and a lot of room...not a tiny car...so a little frustrated. lol help?
wire colors will be as follows:
function ............................color/stripe
12v constant .....................white/yellow
12v accesory .....................yellow/red
12v ground ........................black
dimmer (lights) ...................red/black
Left front (+) .................... Blue/Green
Left front (-) .................... Grey/Black
Right front (+) .................. Red/Green
Right front (-) .................. Brown/Black
Left rear (+) ..................... Blue/Yellow
Left rear (-) ..................... Grey/White
Right rear (+) ................... Red/Yellow
Right rear (-) ................... Brown/White
if that doesn't work, you've probably got a blown fuse somewhere
Thank you. I'm trying so hard to get this thing in running condition. Any advice on anything is helpful & appreciated. :) Thanks

The fuse for constant is in the underhood fusebox. It is 7.5A
