87 lx accord sedan build

so i have a 87 accord and its doing poorly im trying to beef her up so. this is what i have so far a stock 87 lx sedan accord a20a motor (carb). my plans are to do a a engine and tranny swap with a great suspention..my first questions are what type of motor and tranny. and how would i go about doing it. someone let me know asap. thanks will have pics of the build to come:burn:

What do you mean by "doing poorly"?
There are hundreds of threads here about swaps, the results in my opinion are not too far apart as far as what is better so it depends on your goals.
Did you buy this car wih the intention of taking it apart?
