Hi everyone. I've already received some help on this forum so I'm glad I discovered it.

I have an 88 LX-i coupe and a 91 LX sedan. Been doing some needed repairs on both. In the last month or so, I've delved into some do-it-yourself procedures for the 1st time, including valve cover gasket replacement (both), master cylinder replacement (91), oxygen sensor replacement (91), and oil pan gasket replacement on the 88, which was a nightmare.

I look forward to spending some time here.

Thanks, Dr_Snooz. Your 1989 Accord LX-i in the photo looks great. I visited California (Monterey) last November and noticed that older vehicles there don't have major rust problems. The reason is clear; the climate there does not require putting chemicals on the roads in winter to melt ice and snow. Here, in Ohio, winters wreak havoc on cars.

My 88 Accord actually has less rust damage than the 91 because the 88 spent part of its life in Florida. My son bought it at an auction in Florida and brought it up to Ohio. But, that was years ago and now it does have some rust spots. I'd like to do some body repair and paint work on both cars if I can figure out how to keep the cost down to a reasonable level.

Welcome to the forum! Rust sure does suck. My LX-i was originally from Massachusetts, so it had some nasty rust damage going on before I started working on it. But I'm happy to say I have successfully gotten rid all major rust damage on my car, and have begun getting it ready to repaint it so it will (hopefully) look like it just rolled outta the factory. :)

Post up some pics when you hit the 5 post milestone!

Will post some pics soon. Right now, the front end is up on ramps. Been doing some work (oil pan gasket, exhaust parts, pcv valve, oxygen sensors) on it.

BTW bryan42688, would like to see a pic of your whole car, not just top.

Right click (or control click if on mac) on bryan's sig an and go to view image to see the full picture. Looks like the picture was too big to meet 3Geez signature size requirements, so it cuts off the majority of the car. Minus the roof.
