Hey fellow accord brothers,

I have a JDM B20A engine which i am considering putting into my 86 prelude SI.. The engine that I have appears to have all the critical components except for things like the axles, wiring harness, ecu, accessories etc.. I am not probably nearly the mechanic that some of you guys are but I believe I could honestly make this work with some really good support. The first thing I wanted to ask was if this engine the JDM B20A 160 hp came in the accord and if so was it exclusive to the JDM accord model or did the accords come with the B20A black top 140 hp?

As long as you have the engine, transmission and rear mount bracket from a prelude, you'll be fine.

If you don't have the rear bracket from a prelude, I happen to have one.

I would like to get my hands on the Ecu for this engine and the wiring harness. I dont want my Lude to be a rats nest and don't have the knolage to rewire a bunch of stuff. Is there anyone on here with one of these engines or parts for a B20A. Anyone one in America particularly??

You really don't need a wire harness because you are using the whole intake manifold off the current a20a3. You need a 1st gen integra distributor to run it. You can get the ecu later to get more out of it but i would convert to obd 1 rather than that, which can be done later.
There is. B20a in the for sale now just posted yesterday..
Post a pic of what you got, what accessories are missing?

As far as I know the B20a and A20a3 intakes are identical but you would need modifications to run the 86-87 model on a 88-89 model and visa versa.

I know this may be a bit odd, but I'd really -really- like to thank you for your visual tutorial on changing the oil pan gasket! I have yet to find anything around here like that, so the visuals and good instructions are exceptionally useful! We all have the same block (A20A, right?), so the tutorial should be near the same for the Accord compared to the Prelude, right?
