As the total states we are on fire. The interstate is fucked. At around 430 - 500 a thunder storm started to brew causing the winds to pick up and drive the fire east toward northern Colorado springs. I have pics and video of the fire cresting the ridge and falling down the other side. I will get those up as soon as my phone charges. Man, I took off just as soon as I could smell smoke. It was intense.

I am fine but my mother in law lives in the area, blocks away from the evac area. 40+ homes have burnd down since i started this thread. I wish i could run in and start running fire lines. Fuck!

ooh it was 102 here today and near that for the last week.

They finally got this fire put out. Mother nature helped out alot. We got a weeks worth of rain and they got the fire put out almost 2 weeks before they expected. It's sad how criminal some people are here. They were breaking into evacuated homes and cars of the evacuees here

Yeah, I heard they were stealing shit all around there. It's crazy how fucked up some people really are. Makes mad and sad that there's people that can get that low nowadays...

Not saying this in the thieves' defense, but I bet they expected those houses to burn to the ground anyway. Horrible way to think, and it takes a real low life to act on those thoughts.

isn't the usual national guard policy to shoot looters on sight?
