Put some Carb cleaner in gas tank and drive for 30 mins. Air filter? Check vacuum advance & ignition timing. Tire pressure?

I thought the vac removal wasn't too mpg friendly? :dunno:

Refer to manual
ignition timing: pg 766-768
vacuum advance inspection: pg 768

Shortcut for ignition timing: Warm up car, set parking brake (and wheel chocks the front wheels), and put the car in D. Use timing light and set the timing to 15 BTDC (the red mark with 15) with the vacuum advance hoses on. Take the hoses off and plug them with the sharp end of a pencil, read with timing light, and it should be around 4 BTDC eyeballed (a little bit above the T mark). If not, either bad vacuum advance or no/little vacuum from those two hoses.
