I'm new to Honda's so please bear with me. I have is a 1989 Accord LX (carb) with a manual transmission. Now the transmission has taken a crap on me so I'm going to get another one. This is my commuter car and I'm looking at improving my fuel mileage.
So the question; I have a friend who transmission from a 1986 CRX. It's an HF transmission. I'm pretty sure it won't bolt up to my engine (could be wrong) but will the internals from the HF work in my transmission case? If so I was thinking of just swapping the internals over and calling it good.
My internet searches have come up empty so I'm here looking to the experts.
Thanks
Ed
