My Honda battery is dead. Well gonna be dead very very soon. No more green light and very very slow starts.
So which battery should I get and where can I get it? :smokin:

Thanks

i trust DieHard more than anything. Dotn buy the Everstart shit from Walmart. Get a whole diagnosis on ur electrical system while u get the battery changed.

out put > 12 V car off
14.5 V car running @ idle
15 V running @ 2000 > 3000 rpm

it is measured by a multimeter @ the batter terminals !
good luck

Optima yellow top, expensive but has been great for me. I definatly recommend this if in cold climates but your not so thats not an issue for you.

He actually IS talking about how to test the alternator. The alternator charges the battery while the car is on, so the battery voltage indicates whether or not the alternator is working properly. This is how I figured out my alt was dead before I replaced mine a couple months ago. (Battery voltage was decreasing at idle, meaning electrical systems were drawing off the battery instead of the alt while the car was on.)

This is truly the best battery you can buy. It's overkill for most cars, but if you have a system, a high output ignition system, or live in very cold climates, consider it. :werd:

optima all the way...
the last longer
and they wont leak..

most of the serious off roaders use them for this reason and that they dont die easily..
but make sure that the alternator is working proper otherwise it would be usless

Actually the optimas are not that great.

You know how their advertising campaign says you can suck all the juice out of it and it will always take full charge again,BULL . I 've sucked the juice out of many an optima.

They only have a 1yr free replacement warranty and are only pro rated for two or three years I think.

If your looking into a battery, look at the warranty they give you an compare price with free replacement until you find the one that is the best for your money.

I have had mine for 2-3 yrs and when my old car was broken it to it sat for about 7months and i jumped it once and it was fine. now its in my new car and i only drained it once by leaving my stereo on (3 amps, neon, and interior lights on for like 6-7hrs) i like it a lot and would buy another in a heart beat. I am gonna upgrade the alternator and get a cap soon for the extra strain from my stereo.
