Working at a bowling alley, being a woodworker, and a car guy got my creative juices flowing. This was the outcome:

Installed:

And for those who think they're too big and bulky, a newer, sleeker style coming soon. (Left to right) The original bowling pin knob, two of my new style knobs (unfinished), and a Civic knob for size comparison.

If you're interested in one, PM me. I'm not selling in this thread. Just showcasing my work for feedback. Thanks for looking!

Those are beautiful. Very nice workmanship. The choice(s) of wood really make it. What are you using?

The wood used is maple from a bowling pin. It's stained different colors to achieve the different looks.

All I can say is that if you made some like bowling ball colors I might be prone to buy one :)

Like swirly colors and whatnot? That would be interesting, but probably difficult to make.

Have you made any in a darker wood color? Mauve interior. :)

The red mahogany is darker than it looks and looks great in a burgundy interior.

Just showing off some of my latest. I've threaded them deeper into the knob so that they'll sit more flush with the boot and sit only an inch or two higher than stock.

Those are neat! It would be kinda cool to see one that was white with the red stripes still on it. Never knew bowling pins were solid wood like that! Also love that baseball bat shift knob!

I plan to do one with the plastic still on it one day. Have had a few people say they'd be interested in one.
