Just thought I'd share some video of the last Lemons race I raced in. We had a sweet Acura Integra base model (LS or GS or something like that). One of my teammates traded the car for a bout $300-400 worth of welding work. It didn't run when we got it. New battery, and spark plug wires got it going again. It came with a Greddy cat-back exhaust, eBay intake and eBay coilovers. (I love how eBay is like a parts brand.)

The car was quick. There were only a couple cars that were faster in a straight line. There was a green FoxBody Mustang, and a Plymouth Sundance Turbo. The Mustang was a no-brainer, but the Sundance made 150hp, and probably weighed quite a bit less than the Integra.

Here's a video of the car on the main straightaway at the Ridge Motorsports Park. (It was a sweet track, and brand new!)

Here's some in-car video of me driving. Jump to 6:30 to see me chasing down a 3gee.

Overall the race was mega-fun. I've never had so much fun driving in my life, than being able to jump right in and race wheel-to-wheel. It's scary at first, but you get over it quick. :)

Oh also, the car blew a headgasket the first day (blown HG on a B18, no wai!), and it had us in and out of the race the entire first day. So we threw a new one in, just before the end of the first race day. We made almost no laps, so we wound up coming in 35th. The second day went great and the car ran so awesome! We know the car could have been a winner if not for that!

What is the maximum speed you can reach?

I am soooo jealous right now!... How do I get on your Lemons team?... I want to do this so bad, but can't get enough people commited to doing it. I wish I still had my $100 EF hatch, it would have been perfect for lemons racing.

It is pretty rad! We were able to hit about 110 on the front stretch. 5th gear suuuuucks! If it had a shorter 5th gear or final drive, the car probably could have gone much faster.

Dude, I've got a friend with an LXi coupe for $200 that I'm thinking about picking up. I'm thinking about building another car, so we may need a driver. I think it will be a year out or so, but I'll keep you in mind. I think the 3g is a good candidate, and will have potential if we can squeeze a little extra power out of the engine.

Hell no! It's got some mad tyte eBay springs on it! And an eBay intake! They came with the car. :) And it had a sweet Greddy fart can on the back! The "coilovers" had seized collars so we couldn't raise the car back up. I think it worked out for the best though. The springs seemed to do surprisingly well. The car handled much better than the other Integra that we were racing, and it didn't seem to bounce or have any issues. Can't beat those springs for the price!
