Hello everyone!

Im a member over on CB7tuner and recently bought an 88 Accord LX and decided to become a member here. I own a 93lx, a 91ex and now an 88lx. I live in Springfield MO and have been working on/building Hondas for 4 years now.

I cant post pictures yet so i cant show the condition of the Accord i bought (that kinda sucks). But i can say that i wasnt looking for a 3rd gen when i found it. Its in such good shape I just couldnt pass it up.

The factory 13"s were almost brand new but they were dry cracked. So i found some 2000-2001 Civic Si wheels on Craigslist and threw on it.

The first two pics i had to wipe down parts of the car with soap and water. Thats what those spots are. The nieghbors cat had put paw prints all over it. :rocket:

Im also SWMO on CB7tuner. So if anyone wants to see my other Accords check my MRTs over there.

I think the wheels look good on it. Your car is the same color as my 88 LX-i coupe but, sadly, mine has some rust. I plan to work that issue.

Thank you. I only own the silver/gold 93 and the mulberry red pearl 91 now. The white 92 was an old project long gone from years ago. The green 92 was my cousins. He got a Supra when he got back from Iraq and then he sold the CB.

They look good but it needs to be lowered for sure. However with the ground clearance it has now it should do well in the snow this winter.

Yeah im pretty dedicated! Its more or less Honda for life. lol I even have Honda and Acura tatts. [H] on the back of my left arm above my elbow and (A) above my right. I used to ride a CBR600 and i would tell my buddies that rode R6s that i got them so that it would say HA when your behind me. lol

Anyways, as far as the 88 im doing a Weber 32/36 conversion. I guess ill see what diffrence that makes and go from there.

I plan on taking advantage of being carb since i can "tune" it with a timing light, cam gear and the carb. Thats something im not used to.

So a header, 272 cam, wideband and a full exhaust is most likely what ill leave it at.

I was going to lower it but i stumbled on an idea today. It has 205 65 R15 tires on it so im going to try 55 or 60 on the tire profile. The thing is with the Si wheels the front tires barely clear the upper ball joint covers. Its about a 1/4" gap. I can actually make them rub in a corner pretty easily.

I would get started on the 88 now but im getting ready to do a JDM H22a swap on my 93. I gave my 93 a hard rev while it was backed up by my house one day and it blew raw oil all over the siding. Its got 364k on the stock engine and i take it to redline about 5-6 times a week. Plus i took it to a Auto X event last month and i really beat on it. Now it burns about a quart of oil every 100 miles. So its time for a new engine.
