Just confirmed my fuel pump is dead.
$23 with strainer, e8023 part number cross references to this pump, includes strainer, and hey - it's here in Florida!
Thinking of ordering it. Anyone have any experience with these ebay pumps?

I couldn't even get an airtex pump that worked for 100 bucks I sure wouldn't trust an egay one might last a little while

the only pumps that I know are still good are the bosch pumps there's a reason they cost more

I have a Koyosan that was intended for an RX7 in mine. It works well enough and sounds exactly like every Walbro I've ever heard. I'll see what happens with longevity, but these days, even the good parts come out of China. It's all about getting good stuff from Asia.

Well, for $25 shipped here to me, I'm going to see what happens.
THANK YOU HONDA FOR MAKING THE FUEL PUMP EASILY ACCESSIBLE!

What's whinging?
I figure I'll yank my stocker out, see if I can determine what happened. Odds are it's gummed up, but we'll see.
If the fuel pump with it's lifetime warranty dies, I'll certainly report it back here, and get it swapped out.

Whining* stupid phone.
I bought a walbro fuel pump off egay and didn't last 2 months after that one canyon run I did and left me for dead on the highway. They sent a replacement but I never sent the old one back. Come to think of it I have the new pump installed and never used it lol might get rid of it for a oem .

Ebay's long been a breeding ground for fake Walbro pumps. I never buy a Walbro off ebay due to the fakes out there. Sucks, for sure.

whats going to happen with the ebay pump is you are going to be out 25 bucks, it would be faster to set fire to 25 bucks then go out and buy a good pump, then at least you don't have to change it twice, I'm assuming you are FI? if it was a carb one, I have one that is pretty new but sat for a long time, you could just have the carb one for shipping. It was an airtex but was running when I parked the car.

I'll upgrade it later. This car has lots of work it needs, at least this will get me up and running quick!

thats not good logic when it leaves you stranded in the middle of nowhere, get the good pump do it once and be done with it.

FI, and it's hard to get to the middle of nowhere when you're dead center Gainesville, FL ;)
Look at it as a test :D

I'm not a fan of cheap parts but I have no room to talk. I just put a non-advanced auto 1year warrenty alternator on my explorer. It was supposed to be a lifetime but I got there, pulled the old alternator off and walked in with it and they said they didn't have a lifetime warranty one in stock 30 minutes after they told me they did on the phone. I went a head and bought it anyways knowing it wil fail in just over a year. The reason I did was because it litterally takes 10 minutes to r&r and if it does fail the truck will still run. Good luck with the fuel pump, maybe you will be one of the lucky ones and it will last for 10 years.

I doubt it will last 10 years. I'd be happy if I got a solid 3-5 out of it.
Depending on what I do with the B20A sitting in the back of my Avalanche, I may end up turbocharging it, so I'll need a better pump anyway. Big fan of the Bosch 041.

I hope you get some life out of it, but you will probably get 3-5 months out of it if you are lucky

We'll know for sure soon. Should be to me either Thursday or Friday, and I'll install it the following Monday/Tuesday.

I tell you with the junk parts I've been getting from pretty much every parts store, I'm to the point where I'm willing to take flyers on eBay's stuff. The only guarantee you get from paying more is the guarantee that you paid more.
Let us know how it turns out. It would be nice to find a place where we can get cheap parts that actually work for a change.

good luck, remember I went through this a few years ago with the pumps, I think I got seven bad ones, and they weren't cheap ones, you do know you can use most types of Honda pumps for FI as long as the PSI is close, you might have done better to hunt down a Bosch for a civic,, its a lot harder to find a replacement low pressure in tank pump as it's pretty much an oddity

Any word on how this pump is doing so far? It's in the 3-5 month window right now.
