I say give it a try. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Yea i was thinking why not just replace the cluster with an 88-89 one. But try swapping the pulser and see if it works.

Sliced to Blk/y then stacked 4 1.5k to make 6k then To (yellow) vss output to Ecu . I have cruise connected still but not working so I did not add the diode. Like I said it works for a bit then it turns on. Does this look right to you guys.

well i guess no one wants to help.
Going to put a cb7 speedo retro and get a electric vss and wire it in. simple
Going to try the 88-89 cluster first see what happens.

I don't know if anybody knows how to help. From the sound of it, just about everybody with the B-series swap has a VSS code. I wish I could help ya man. Personally, I'd just run the 4g speed sensor and call it good. Ditch that crappy speeodmeter cable.
id reply to your PM but the PM box is full now lol. anyways, it's easier to use the CD speedo than the CB as the trip meter & odometer are in the speedo faceplate, where-as on the CB gauges, they aren't. wasn't that hard to install it. i took pics of the installation progress if you wish to see them

I would love that man.
A few things I've been prepping for the H22 swap:

this is where the needle sits when there's no power, because there's no "stopper" holding the needle from dropping below 0

I see a coke can. Remember when monkey would post pics of pepsi?
Next weekend il see if I can find a 6k resister and see if I get a CEL since I am using a 89 cluster
coke is my backup for when I run out of sprite :)
or maybe I work for the Coca-Cola™ (http://www.coca-cola.com/en/index.html) and they're paying me to subliminally advertise for them

Well the 6k didn't work for me. Works to a point then boom cel when I slow down.

well I don't have any wires connected and the code does not go on until I let go off the gas when I'm slowing down. Did you put the resisters in series?

In series? No I just cut the vss wire c1 I believe an tapped into the Blk/yel an put a 6 k resistor then from there to the vss wire I cut . Worked till I slowed down but I swapped cluster an no more vss code
