Can anyone tell me if in fact which distributor should be used on a D15B2 engine, with a D15B7 head (PM9-2 stamp)? I went and looked at a 91 civic dx hatchback and verified the engine and head stamp and I also pulled the numbers from the distributor that was in the motor and they are: TD-01U (8Y22). From what I have been able to find so far, the head was swapped from a D15B7 engine. According to another forum, it seems to have been a '95 LX Sedan. Either way, I can't find anything on which distributor should be in the car. According to the parts houses, a 91 civic dx should have the TD-01U and the 95 LX sedan will have the TEC Distributor: TD-41U And TD-47U. Can someone help clarify this? Thanks.

TD01 has 1 rectangular and 1 round plug
TD41 has 2 rectangular plugs.
I traced the mounting points and they are the same
I would use the distributor that is designed for the ecu and wiring harness in the car, the TD01 on the 91, TD41 on the 95

POS,
So both distributors will work, only if the wiring has been adapted. This is what your saying correct? I appreciate the pics. I will compare the pics and what is on the car now. I am still trying get my head wrapped around all this mine me, frankenstein projects, that people are doing on these little cars. I am just trying to get it running and make it my daily drive. Thanks for the input.

I'm not familiar with the civics but I think the ecu would be different, obd1 vs obd2. go with what is meant for the original car whenever possible
