Noob with an 89 lxi Hatch :)

Hey everybody noob with an 89 accord lxi hatchback CA-5 which i got for $800 with 165,xxx miles and I've been browsing the forums and im hyped up with anxeity to start doing tthings to the car. Hi and Welcome! May i suggest a major tune up if not done so. Also inspect everything under the hood,like oil leaks or any fluids. If you want more room under there try to do a wire tuck or remove some things. But before we say anythin....the question is: what do you want to do the car? Throw some ideas out there and we'll point out a thread with information. May i suggest looking and reading the how-to's you will find good info.

yea bro thats a great find for sure. yea make sure there are no leaks, do timing belt and water pump, tune up, dont forget the trans, and drive the shit out of it lol

I figured a tune up is a for sure, it doesnt leak from anywhere surprisingly. And well my plans are just to make it a daily driver but a fun quick one. I had a 94 integra but some no lifed jerks stole my car and well i saw this little hatch for sale on craigslist. And well something pulled me to the car and well i had to get it. So far all I've done to it is add 4 6inch pioneers, a 10 inch jbl sub running off a jl audio amp. kickin' like a mother ;) but yeah i wanna go far with this one. BTW im only 17 and working on cars is a major hobby!

Looks like a very nice find for the price you paid.

If you have no use for the hitch on back, you might as well remove it. Why carry the weight all time if you're not going to use the hitch?

They can tow a small U-haul trailer or a small utility trailer that could be used to haul law mowers, a jet ski, etc.

Welcome! Make sure that all your suspension parts are good and try an see if you can find a replacement fender

I would use a hitch, would be handy but it would have to be a reciever type.

Haha well i dont know, i got no use for it. The car is really fun to drive, thankfully the local junkyard has about 5 hatchs that i can get parts off. Im also of thinking of getting sone prelude seats. what do you'll think???

It is! And it has an exhaust leak somewhere im trying to get an exhaust, catback most likely. im keeping an eye out at local my junk yard
