I have been following the Autosport Labs guys (Makers of the totally whoop-ass MegaJolt Lite Jr), and I saw this new product they are trying to get going. It's Race Capture Pro. For what you get from this little box, the price is such a damn good deal. Full on telemetry, accelerometers, GPS, yaw sensors, many analog and digital inputs so you can capture sensors and things from your car. Plus the data output can be combined with some other software for video overlays for your track day videos and autocross runs. Looks pretty sweet. They have a 3g cellular module for it too that will send data to a phone or tablet in real time. I'll probably be picking one up just to play with, and I'll get it into a Lemons car this year. So it should be pretty awesome to see what it can do! Also it's totally Open Source, so I'm sure there's much more to be done with it!

It has various outputs that can be triggered and it comes with a super simple scripting language to program it with. So you don't have to know C to make this thing work.

I saw this over at the GRM forum. I really think DIY telemetry is in the near future. Next, I want tuneable ABS and traction control. I would love to work on something like that, but I lack the knowledge required to make it work.
