I've used that throttle cable on my truck and it's fine. Make sure it will be long enough for your car though.

The throttle cables on these cars rarely break. I would have no qualms using a junkyard part.

Ok an would u have any idea of how it would break?
An would it just bolt up like the old one did

Is this car with automatic transmission or manual ? Where is the break?

Its auto an out snapped at the firewall an would that cause the car to idle high

If it is an auto then i would check the throttle valve control cable and lever operation down at the transmission, if it jammed stuck, this would cause throttle cable problems for the actual throttle.

Yes, that prevents the cable from rubbing on the metal.

Might explain why the transmission doesn't act right too.

When I first saw this thread I looked at rockauto, and they don't have it.

Replace that grommet before you replace anything else. That's why your throttle cable failed.

Ok so i got the throttle cable from AutoZone an they weren't meant for FI Cars only carded an i really wouldn't recommend this cable to anyone the screw that holds the cable suck it stripped on me with in 20 miNutes of use so really buy this at ur own risk an do u guys now if the 4 gen throttle cable would work

I have a feeling the a 1998 Acura Integra GSR cable will work since the factory 3gee cable works perfectly with a GSR throttle and bracket. My only worry would be that it does not attach to the pedal the same.

So i couldn't find a gsr throttle cable so i just grabbed one off of a cb7 an it works i had to cut a few corners but it work an I'm still having a problem with my car making a popping sound idk weres its coming from ive been told its from my car not getting enough air from a dirty air filter but the problem hasn't gone away but ive noticed after the fi light comes on it goes away until i turn the car off then its back to the popping

looks like majestic honda doesn't even list the part # on their site, might be discontinued.
