yeah thats the original paint.... I dont see myself painting it since I would die if I got it painted and someone keyed or scratched the paint..... as long as this paint stays decent, I'll keep it. Unfortunatly I got the car with a couple key marks, but the buff out well.....

those wheels are one of the perks of the job. :) We bought two Si's at the dealer auction, salvaged a vehicle and scrapped the rest. With my luck we had two sets up Si wheels, one of which I kept :) kinda worked out ok. but the one wheels is scratched up, but ah well.....

i'll post pics of the dash asap

actually mine is a stick... I have had it up to 220 before, of course it was slightly in the red. After talking to a few people about why my car is reaching higher speeds @ lower RPM, its has been suggested that its because of the wheels. The car came with 13" wheels, but I now have 15" wheels and bigger tires... it jacked the car a couple inches.. rides MUCH higher, feels better too :) I can climb curbs if I have to ;) heheheheh.... but anyways, because of the larger diameter, I don't rev as much as it normally would have allowing me to reach higher speeds.... sounds about right? I dunno, it was just a suggestion :)

Thnx

oh yah, and by the way.... my tach is over by about 400-500rpm. I had to take the needle off to do the gauges and I didn't quite get it back on right :) so yeah, its about what yours is probably hehehehhe The dash isn't complete yet, I have to rig my cluster to get the cruise control to work.. LONG STORY, I'll post it later :)
Something to do with busting the coolant gauge, swapping parts from other cars and some handywork with a dremel tool

What size of 15" tire are you running? 195/55-15 is just a smidge taller than the 13's, that's what I'm running.

CoAsTeR

its a 195/60 R15
i used to have 185/70 r13
dunt know if its a big diff or not.... thats just what my 'mechanic' friend suggested.

195/60-15 compaired to 185/70-13 ='s 4.3% difference
at a true 70mph your speedo will read 74mph

195/55-15='s 1% difference true 70mph will read 71mph

The reading of the speedo and the reading of the rev counter in a manual(stick) is a direct relationship to revs/speed as the speedo is driven from the gearbox(tranny) and not the wheels. So fitting differant wheels will make the speedo reading out if they are a differant diamiter but cannot alter the rev counter reading to speedo reading.
The same is true for a auto when the tourque converter has locked. (the revs to speed ratio is fixed) But with the auto gearbox in normal use (tourque converter not locked) there is always going to be some tourque converter slip/loss.
