Its been an hobby of mine for a bit. Sometimes im blowing away clays with the shotgun or shooting bottles and cans with a rifle... Have you guys bought anything new because of the looming ban threat? It does look like people are hoarding everything because even ammo is tough to find right now on an unprecedented scale... So post up if your into guns/shooting!

I am an enthusiast myself, personally only own pistols tho. I'm having a lot of trouble finding a clip for my glock.

I sold my national match AR-15 and my M4 a year ago. I only have my M1 Garand still. Couldn't part with it. I used to go to national competitions with friends I served with but now we're all married and starting families.

The Feds are stockpiling hollow point rounds, 1.6 bil. to date, while the citizens are setting records for weapons sales each month. It could be an interesting 2013.

antares, you're probably having trouble finding a clip because your glock doesn't use clips, it uses a magazine...

i love guns. i have had many and have several. my current favorite is my tt-33 romanian tokarev. thing is built like a classic browning design but fires the 7.62x25 which is awesome at punching through things.

I've got a glock 22, was just trying to avoid online cause they are gouging. I also like to test the quality as well, you should hang on to the ones you have. Any recommendations on brands?

Ok I picked up some today locally, this one had plenty, Glock brand 15 cap 22.95 also had Asian 29 cap for...75 bucks
( gulp) ea. both 40 cal. The 9mm were more expensive go figure. This store gouges bad all the time anyways but has a lot of cool tact stuff.

ya I love the 1022 very accurate and very fun/cheap to shoot.

Also I started making my own shot and see targets... Super easy to do little time consuming but if done right you can shot all day into the same target.

these circles are the size of a spray paint top
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b397/ghettogeddy/20120504_165919.jpg

these ones I used the lid to med size coffee can.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b397/ghettogeddy/20120504_165908.jpg

I use the smaller ones for 50 yard targets and the larger for 100 yard.

You take a large vibrant colored poster board I use bright yellow and cover it in clear box tape just do strips till its covered all the way and I suggest not over lapping as it ends up looking bad.
Once covered in tape you can put a couple thin layers of flat black spray paint the cheap 99 cent walmart stuff works fine.
Then I just took a jewelers screwdriver and traced the circles out of the paint.

Very effective and very cheap in comparison to the stuff thats sold ... You can get about 2 targets out of one can of paint and about 2 out of a decent sized roll of tape.

That's good idea, I like the contrasting.
There were so many different models of the Ruger when I was trying to decide, then I got tripped up with take down models DOH, wound up getting one of those little Henry AR 7 deals which I hate the sights on it but it is amazingly accurate and cheep to shoot. I looked at the Mossberg Plinkster with the quad rail and all pretty AR style but it felt incredibly cheep in the hands. I think that custom built Ruger is the way to go, just needs a mortar launcher on the lower quad. lmao.

for glock mags i'd buy glock brand. the korean stuff is crap. had a few 33rd magazines for my 22 and they jammed like crazy. the 15rd LEO mags are typically pretty cheap. right now it is definitely crazy but cdnn is still taking phone orders. i bet they're sold out of glock stuff. i'd say wait a few weeks or months and everything will be fine.

Been a while since i was on here but for those who know what happened to me a lil over two years ago, i have beefed up my fire power. To start off, as far as the glock goes, i have a g19. I have used many differant mags and i prefer factory made parts. There is a gun show this weekend here in Ontario CA btw. I bought 6 15 round mags at the same show 3 months ago. They sell them here in cali as disassembled parts kits. Still brand new and cheap. Got me a mossberg 500 with the adjustable stock last year. fun to shoot but not a daily user as its tactical and really beats up ur shoulder. Then I decided to get the umarex sold, walther made, licensed by H&K MP5 .22. It is really cool for what it is. Looks and feels just like its 9mm original, and cheap to shoot. got a few 25 round mags from my last trip to vegs which makes it even more fun to shoot. My most resent buy was a Mosin Nagant M91/30. I was able to find a hex model and fully restore it. This thing is old but still very reliable. It fires the 7.62x54R cartridge and I have hit 8 inch targets at 400 meters. I have vids of the new toys on youtube. check them out sometime. just search, alex dragovich in the search box. later.

^ glad to see you chime in. hows your hand doing after all this time?

i love the hk copies, i personally didn't care much for the umarex licenses but more for the original gsg5 before hk sued. They are quite wonderful little guys. I personally am a big fan of 22s people don't give them a lot of credit in a lot of communities. But as most of us that shoot regularily know the 22 is quite deadly and ridiculously accurate. I can put an entire mag in a 3" group with my 10/22s, that's a lot of lead lol...

I love the mosin but sold both my 91/30 and 44 because of limited areas to shoot them for their purpose. THe m44, if you haven't shot one, is quite an experience as it is very concussive.
