That sucks. It'll be hard to replace that car with another of the same quality with the money that the insurance company will give you for a writeoff. I live in fear that somebody will hit my 3G. :P

I got $500 for my last totalled hatch, then bought it back for $75. Was totally worth it with the swap and all the suspension.

I have to finish my mustang up so I'd probably just part the 3gee. I have more in the car than its worth to junk it, just gotta find a place to put it while I strip it down. Too many cars in my driveway.
I can warranty the motor mounts, brakes, rack, and axles for new ones, thats worth some $ right there
It has the SEi rear brakes
Just rebuilt the transmission a few months ago
all 4 kyb shocks less than 1 year old on Neuspeed springs
weber kit with lots of extra parts
pacesetter full exhaust
rims and tires
I have new Hella h4s conversions still in the box
black dashboard with a spare gauge cluster with under 100k on it
a/c compressor is less than a year old and still blows ice cold
Just with those parts I can make more than I'll get for the whole car
I still haven't heard from the insurance so nothing is for sure, but that's probably the route I'd take

I'd get another 3gee one day, I'd like a clean hatch.
