EGR Valve

The engine light keeps coming on so I checked the ECU and Im getting 12 flashes. Possibly the EGR valve is bad, plugged up, leaking or whatever.

My question is 'can adding a CAI cause issues with the EGR valve, enough to throw a code???'

When I put my CAI in I threw the same code. And now I can't get it to turn off. Even if I put the stock intake back on.
It may be just a bad lift sensor I'm Justine living with my CEL for now.

How does it run? It does seem to me the diagnostic circuits on these isn't entirely accurate. Like on some cars the air intake temp sensor falling off can bring several different codes and completely ignore the origin.
I would check anything that may be involved with the change you did, unhook the battery maybe it will relearn....
