ok so the past few days ive been trying to fix my newly developed sputtering idle/ low rpm. basically at idle it will have a misfire like symptom that causes it to backfire every 3-8 seconds. this sputtering also continues until about 3000 rpm. but the higher it goes into the rpm range the more faint it becomes. im getting a code 9 cel so i replaced the following things:

dizzy ( used but i know it was good because it came off a buddys car that ive driven)
plugs
wires
fuel filter

i have also
checked timing
adjusted dizzy to every degree possible
filled up
added fuel additive (free at work )
compression test (consistent across the board )

anyways, the only few things i have left to try before i give up and buy a brand new dizzy (200$ :/) is, fuel pump possibly or the resistor type thing that grounds on the pass side of the bay and has two leads going to the coil and harness
anyone else have any input as to what else to do in this situation?

There is a troubleshooting sequence for a code 9 (Crank Angle Sensor) in the manual. You could have bad wires going to the dizzy or bad ground. Run through the sequence and see what you come up with.
