Hi all,

Are the speakers in my '89 Accord hatchback 6.5" all around? Crutchfield doesn't have a provision for Hatchbacks on the website, and I know for damn sure they aren't 6x9's, as they said for the coupe.

Thanks in Advance.

He's right they're all 6.5" speakers. Unless you modify them.

It depends. The coupe and sedan have 6x9's in the rear. If I am not mistaken, the hatch has either 5's or 6.5's

i've never taken them apart, but does an 86 sedan have 4 1/2"s in the doors? and it has 6 1/2"s on the rear deck, right?

Yeah, except I'm just looking to drop in speakers and a head unit, not looking for high end shit. My Spec V is the money pit. I'm making the Accord an everday, reliable car again. It needs minor stuff, but a fairly decent stereo I cannot live without.

Anyway, they have a deal going, buy a headunit and 2 pairs of speakers, and get $50 off the order. Considering the speakers I'm going to get are $50 a pair, it only makes sense to go through them. Plus you get all the adaptors and wiring harnesses for free, with wiring diagrams and mounting kits. This is a low budget system. :D

dude, just do what i did. i went to a junk yard and pulled 2 good front speakers our of like a 93 civic. they were bose and they fit fine (well, they don't tighten all the way down cause they are deeper). and get this THEY ONLY COST $5 EACH. i think thats a steal. work just as good and are like $40 cheaper than going to a name brand store and getting 2 new ones.
