Ok so i am not completly stupid when it comes to cars...with that being said i was wondering if there is anyway to know wich starter type is in your car without pulling the starter first. I know that the easiest way is to just pull the starter and compair at the parts store but i would rather do the removal and install all at onece. I have an 87 accord LXI atoumatic fuel injected. I keep getting prompted to know if its Denso or Mitsuba, so is there a way to know wich you have without pulling it out, i know that there is a difference from manual to automatic but it seems that there is still yet both starters for both manual and automatic. Can some one plz sheed some light on this for me. thanks guys...

Its really just brand preferences, just make sure you get the one for an automatic.

Starter | 1988 Honda Accord 4 Cylinders 2.0L 2BL SOHC | AutoZone.com (http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/1988-Honda-Accord/Starter/_/N-ii132Z9rict)
NIPPONDENSO is a squared-off shape, mitsuba is round. As stated above, either will work as long as it's for the correct transmission (auto/manual)
