What all is neccesary to convert from the carb engine to an efi engine? Is this expensive? Anyone ever done it? Will/can a shop do it? Is easier to just buy the whole engine or just pick of the pieces from an lx-i? please help

Since an EFI system requires high-pressure fuel lines, pump, injectors, ECM, throttle body, intake, and sensors to work properly, I suggest buying an LXi model 3g and selling yours. thats what I'm doing.

i would say that if ur afraid about spending some time on ur car which involves some great deal of patience, u would be better off with buying a lxi or a sei.

I will have to bring back my EFI conversion How-To.

I get alot of emails about this. I didn't know it was that popular :)

It involves alot of work but it's sure worth the trouble I think.

ya i am thinkin of doin one too..
would it be cheaper to do an engine swap and efi swap at the same time...
since this way, they just gotta pull out the whole engine, carb and all..
put in the new harness, efi assembly, fuel system blah blah...
rather then swapping to efi with the stock carb engine ( which will require more work)

Is it the just the engine that needs to be changed, or is it the whole fuel system?
