I have an 89 accord carbed. Man its slow, everybody beats me. So would a b16 from like a 99 civic DOHC V-tech fit my car. If that dont work than is there anything i can do to help it out a little bit?

You could try the 3.6v 300mA battery from a vtech but then you still have to plug it into the phone line. With the kind of range you get on a Vtech, I cannot see why you would put a Vtech in your car... it would go out of range when you leave your driveway.

BTW yes I'm poking fun at your "vtech"... its "vtec" and yes you can put a b16a (cable clutch) in with the necessary mounts

Read the FAQ section. You can do a B16A with PlaceRacing Mounts but if your carbed it will be even harder to do.

Yes i am teh jokar!!!!

I believe the place racing mounts are around $450 usd from a link that was posted somewhere in this forum. The complete engine/tranny/ECU package runs around $1100 usd from a few places. The engine is the b16a 160hp found in CRX Si's, civics, and del sols.

Another useless fact about VTEC:
even pronouncing it "Vee - Tek" is incorrect. It's V - T - E - C. Just like V - V - T - i. I mean, how would you pronounce VVTi, or DOHC as one word?

like this:
dohc
vtec
Does the pronounciation of acronyms really matter? How would you say CIA, now how would you say NATO?? :D

Hey, to me saying vtec as one word is like saying Naws instead of Nitrous.
