It is my understanding that the wing must be of a minimum size and certain height above the tail end to maintain as close to a nonturbulent airflow as possible to maximize the down force attained........Geeze Louise...I hated fluids...what the hell was that? :eek:

Actually if you took the legs completely off and flush-mounted it by the side pieces, then painted it... then it MIGHT look kind of cool and not ricey as all hell. Kind of like Juan's wing.

Still all I gotta say is NOPI grand touring $120 and it doesn't matter if you can convert a rice wing into something that isn't :gay: as shit...

i like em my self, thats why i got 1......i really dont give a fuck what you have to say about it to. i think its funny how you all say things are "rice" and you all are into imports, it sounds like some thing one of those dumb buttstang driving red necks would say about all of for owning a honda. it was a damn good deal so i thought i would let every 1 know about it. besides i did not get it for looks i got it so when i decide to take a 15mph turn at 60 my car hugs and stays in its lane, they really do help with air flow.

At 60mph, your wing is not generating enough downforce to do much, i don't think.

no the wing works we have done tests with a 3gee and that brand of wing, we could not take the turn at 60 with out 1. i really dont care what any 1 thinks. i just get fed up with every 1 saying shit is rice when they drive a rice car.........heh

yeah i hate to say it i'm with experimental. i mean rice isnt' about buying big wings. it's the whole package of doing only external mods and not even considering mechanical mods. the showy-ness with out the balls to back it up. experimental doesn't seem to be the rice-boy tho. he's talking about downforce and speedy turns. so i'm with ya bro. i've considered getting a wing there. i have to admit the price is right. i probably won't tho but send us pics of your install.

i can't stand those understated touring wings. you pay $600 for them and ppl still think it's some stock option... so go with makes ya happy. don't worry about what some ppl say.

Having a wing such as that for downforce is pointless in a front-wheel drive vehicle. :rolleyes:

Actually, downforce will help to stabalize a fwd car out, but you'd have to be going really fast. And if it really has that much downforce, wouldn't it slow the car down?

see i do a bit of drift style racing in the boonies with my boys, and since they have installed wings they have been able to take very sharp turns at much higher speeds then with out it. i did get for some style but more importantly for the fuction, thats why i went with a dual plane style.

all my other friends with accords, mainly 4th and 5gens, talk about their back ends sliding all the time. i can't get mine to slide no matter what i do. even before i put on these bigger tires.

WOAH............ok, since everyone is getting all tense, i'd just like to say that i like big wings, i had a scorpion on my old 3g and if you want to say its rice, go ahead. But regardless of a big wing being "rice" or not, a wing doesn't do much untill a vehicle hits high speeds. I saw a tv show once about a Porsche 911 with one of the "whale-tail" spoilers that automatically raised itself up (from a flush position with the rest of the ass of the car) at a certain speed....that speed was 100mph. i think Porsche knows what they are talking about. So, Experimental_Honda, i don't want to piss you off anymore, but i think that whole "better handling around corners at 60mph" is all in yer head.
