I have no idea how to explain which hose i mean, and it will be even harder because most you guys have RHD cars...
Basically i got a split coolant pipe, its the one that is on the Left hand side of the car (passenger in AUS) below the
air filter box. It's roughly in the shape of a question mark (?)
I went down to the local auto shop and got myself the appropriate size tube, but the angle in which the original pipe
was on is too much for this crappy generic stuff.
How the hell do identify this coolant pipe, and where can i get it quick!

If you can't find it through a dealer or parts store, you can use the bulk stuff like you have with one of the shape retaining springs. They're basically a spring with a wire soldered to ever coil down one side. Bend the wire, and the hose will hold that shape. If nothing else, that flex spring will hold you over until you can source the right part.

Is it 14 on this diagram? Honda Automotive Parts (http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=ACCORD&catcgry2=1988&catcgry3=2DR+DX&catcgry4=KA5MT&catcgry5=WATER+PUMP+-+THERMOSTAT)

I hope you aren't trying to use bulk hose for that. It's a formed rubber hose and you need to have them get it from the back.

Sometimes you can get by using bulk but you have to make the hoses longer and loop it so there are no pinches. I was going to say in a pinch but that would be just too punny.

Try sourcing one from a newer car like a late ninties civic, 3 rd gen prelude or something. They may be close?

I can still view it, but does Honda part # 19508-PH1-000 look like the correct hose?

The question mark shaped hose under the carb'ed intake (goes form teh manifold to the pipe at the back of the engine) can be replaced by the Goodyear 63156 or Dayco 87310/B87310 molded hose. If you can not get one locally, you can get it from the US Ebay site. The link below is to a seller that ships worldwide.
