View Full Version : What's that 2 tone tint called?

You know that stuff that looks like half mirror and it kinda changes and looks wavey. I see it on mostly newer cars. What is it and why would you want it??

i dont unda stand your description.
you can get tint with a certain percent reflectiveness

I think he's talking about the tint that will change color (for example the lower part might be reflective silver and will transition to red towards the top).

yah... or silver to black... the one i hate the most is colored tint!

actually.. i saw a pretty nice subaru, it was si blue.. had a body kit, carbon fiber wing and hood, fender flares, z3 fender scoops, hood scoop, look like it was lowered to about 1 inch off the ground.. it had matching blue tint and was kind of reflective.. it flowed pretty well with the car and i usually hate seeing colored tint.. but i liked it on this car

i've known it as 2 toneing. I used to paint cars for a small living.
