Impact wrench. An improvised breaker bar and hammer will work in a pinch.

Good luck.

I tricked my landlord into lending me his impact wrench so I could get my car put back together and out of his driveway. It still took 15-30 seconds on each bolt at the maximum setting.

I'm curious too, how are you holding the flywheel? I used a screwdriver in the ring gear to tighten the bolts back on, but that wouldn't have been enough for me to get them off.

buy holding the other side thru the wheel well with another ratchet. Take a look you will see the hole going thru to the bottom pulley bolt

I was just reading the haynes manual and the only special tools would be a 12 point socet.

yeah you will have to use impact wrench. i just replaced flywheel and clutch assembly on my friends 4runner truck. the bitch will be when you gonna tighten the bolts, on my buddies truck the flywheel must be tighten at 80lb. yeah, that was two people job for sure. i had to make sure the flywheel doesn't turn and he was doing tightening.

Thanks for the input ! I'm gonna borrow a compressor and impact gun from a friend of friend on wednesday. So this weekend should get her together ... hopefully
