I could use some help as fast as possible please.. I've been skimming the fourm best I can using this shitty phone and I have a decent bit of mechanical skill. Basiclly I got out of work today went to start my car and it started went to warm up idle and stalled out. This problem has happened before on various occasions sometimes after getting gas other times just randomly. Tried it a few more times and decided to open the hood as I usally do because for some reson it seems to start after that ussally but it continued not to start. Tried priming the fuel pump and couldn't here it powering on leading me to belive the fuel pump had died.. after reading on the fourms here and thinking back I didn't hear the usual two clicks which I learned is the fuel pump relay. Now the cars at work stranded I just order 2" drop springs for it today so I'm broke and don't have the time or money to be messing around. Basiclly my question is if you guys were to take an educated guess or if you were a betting man which would you think it is because the pump is 121 and the relays 64 now I might be able to get a little discount on parts but still can't really afford it so what do you think it is?? Oooo car starts feeding gas into the throttle body.. please help thank you

If it is a carbed car, your fuel pump relay is grey, holes on top, bottom bit of fusebox beside the silverish rear defrost relay.
If it is fuel injected, the main relay is in the kickpanel behind the cruise module (sorta), held in with a 10mm bolt, says main relay right on it.
Pull relay cover off and reflow all solder points inside. Good to go for another 20 years.

So you think its the relay and not the pump? I don't have decent soildering skills and the car has tobe moved tomorrow

Well, I would go after the fixable versus replacable. Poor solder is a known issue with the main relays of Honda. In a pinch you could jumper the terminals to force the pump on as well as another troubleshooting step. Think there was a very recent thread on fuel pump/relay shenanigans on here.

Jump the yellow and black/yellow (side by each I think in the connector on the main relay) with something like a paperclip, chunk of wire, etc. Easy way to rule out the fuel pump as the problem versus the relay.

Since you don't hear the "click" I'd have to agree it's the main relay. I've found just tapping them will get a temporary start and run situation. Most likely not the fuel pump.

Thanks guys. I'm going to get started in a little bit and try jumping the relay and hopefully that works.
